Il Far Bay è del cantiere Southern Wind Shipyard, le cui imbarcazioni sono importate in Italia dalla Pegaso Yacht. Si tratta di un 72 piedi firmato da Bruce Farr e prosegue una fortunata serie di scafi diventati un classico tra i grandi sail cruiser. Far Bay è dotato di un doppio pozzetto, interessante alternativa all'impostazione della sistership Far Wind, dotata di unico pozzetto centrale, questo sloop di 21,89 metri è destinato anche ad un utilizzo charteristico. La costruzione dello scafo e coperta sono in composito e sandwich con elementi strutturali di rinforzo in carbonio. Gli allestimenti interni sono realizzati con una cura artigianale.
Far Bay is launched by the Southern Wind Shipyard whose craft are imported into Italy by Pegaso Yacht. This 72-footer is designed by Bruce Farr and is part of a successful series of yachts which are considered classics among the large sail cruisers. Far Bay has a double cockpit; an interesting alternative to the layout of the sistership Far Wind which is equipped with a single, central cockpit. This 21.89-metre sloop is designed also for the charter circuit The construction of the hull and upper are in the composite sandwich with carbon structural elements for reinforcement The upholsers are hand made with high quality finishings.
Antonio Minniti, che firma gli interni di Far Bay, ha destinato la zona centrale e quella di prua agli ospiti. A centro barca si trova il living corredato da una cucina attrezzata posta nel corridoio che porta ai quartieri di poppa. Gli ospiti hanno a disposizione tre cabine: una matrimoniale e due doppie. Di queste una ha letti sovrapposti, mentre l'altra è la classica cabina di prua con letti a V. Le cabine hanno bagno privato e, come tutto il resto degli interni, sono dotate di impianto di aria condizionata.
Minniti who designed the interior of Far Bay has located the guest quarters in the centre of the craft and at the bow. A mid ships the living area is complemented by a fully equipped kitchen located between decks leading to the stern. Guests have three cabins at their disposal: one double and two singles. One of these contains bunk-beds while the other is a classic cabin at the bow with beds arranged in a V-shape. Each cabin has an en-suite bathroom and is air-conditioned like the rest of the craft.
La zona equipaggio, a cui si accede dal pozzetto di manovra, comprende due cabine: una riservata al comandante e una doppia per l'equipaggio, entrambe servite da un bagno. Proprio ai piedi della scaletta del pozzetto è invece posto il tavolo di carteggio. Gli arredi e tutti gli allestimenti di Far Bay, a cominciare dall'impiantistica, indicano un notevole livello di esperienza delle maestranze di Southern Wind.
The crews quarters which are reached via the control station consist of two cabins: one is reserved for the skipper while the double cabin is for the crew. Both cabins have en-suite bathrooms. Right at the foot of the stairs to the cockpit is the chart table (in the photo). All of the furnishings and upholstery in the Far Bay, beginning with the plant, indicate the considerable degree of experience of the Southern Wind workers.
